Introducing the Enhanced End User Interface with Advanced Authentication

We’re gradually rolling out the new user interface for end users. To fully embrace the enhanced security features of our new user interface, the admin on the account is requested to review and accept app permissions from Microsoft when prompted.

Require login credentials to access quarantined messages

The Barracuda Email Security Service sends quarantine notification emails with links to view quarantined messages. You now have the option to require your users to enter their account credentials to view their quarantined messages. When users click on a link in the quarantine notification email, they will be prompted to login with their username and password. Once authorized, they will be directed to view or manage their quarantined messages. Learn more

Search for Messages Across All Domains at a Time

In the Message Log, you can now search for messages across all the domains in your account, at a time. Earlier, if you had more than ten domains in your account, you could only search for messages, one domain at a time. You can still search for messages, one domain at a time, or simply select 'All Domains’, to do a mass search.

This feature was in beta for a while but is now generally available to all customers.

Updated User Login View

The left-side navigation panel and the top Barracuda Cloud Control bar will now not be visible to end users, help desk users and domain administrators when they log in to their email security account. Since they do not need access to these, their UI will now have a cleaner look. Only account administrators who log in via https://login.barracudanetworks.com will see and have access to the left-side navigation panel and the top Barracuda Cloud Control bar.

Administrators can Allow End Users to View and Deliver Blocked Emails

You can now choose whether or not to allow your end users to deliver emails that have been blocked by Barracuda. Although some of your end users might have been trained to distinguish between legitimate and malicious email, we recommend turning off this option for the overall safety of your organization.

Domain-specific Settings Warning

When you make setting changes at the account level, these changes do not get applied to domains that have existing domain-specific settings because domain-specific settings take precedence over account-level settings.
Now, when you make account level changes, to a setting that has an existing domain-specific setting, we will display a warning to alert you that the changes will not take effect for domains with domain-specific settings. The settings will have to be changed separately for those domains.
