Image changing animations and many more new stuff is here!

The 1.8.0 version is our biggest update yet 😍

What’s new:

▸ Added animations when changing wallpapers and it looks amazing (Fade, Move In, Push, Reveal).
▸ Added a Preview button on the Photo feedback popup that will show the current wallpaper above all the windows for 3 seconds.
▸ Simplified settings submenu.
▸ Performed Quantize operation on the CoreML model we are using to detect features within images in order to shrink the app size. The side effect is that Machine Learning is now available for macOS 10.13.2 and above. The app’s size should be at least 20-30mb lower.

Dark Theme support

With 1.4.1 update you will get an amazing appearance on both, light and dark themes. You will need to have Mojave version of the macOS installed and the theme will be changed automatically depending if your mac has light or dark theme active.

Introducing Safari Extension and Notification Widget

With the 1.4 release, we have integrated 2 extensions in order to make WallBot more useful:

Safari Extension

Activate it from Safari’s preferences and when navigating trough unsplash.com, when hoover mouse over an image, you will have an extra “Set as wallpaper” button that will set that image as wallpaper at full resolution.

Notification Center Extension

See awesome images in notification center and set them as wallpapers if you like. You can manually change the images category and change displaying image.

WallBot app for macOS launch

Today we’re are proud to introduce our macOS app. It is available for users using macOS 10.12 and later.

The app features Machine Learning to detect features within images you like the most and display more images that contain those features.

The app can be downloaded from the Mac AppStore
